What will you get out of Volunteering?

Volunteering has many benefits, including helping improve your physical and mental health. It is also an excellent way for anyone, including Carers, to meet and connect with new people who may share the same interests while helping in their local community. Volunteering can also provide opportunities to learn new skills, develop new interests and gain self-confidence which is great for personal development – giving a sense of purpose and fulfilment.

Volunteer Feedback

Massive congrats to Lindsey on passing her exams and becoming a fully qualified counsellor! Lindsey’s been on a placement with the Centre since January this year, and is kindly going to continue volunteering with us.

“In January 2023 Renfrewshire Carers kindly offered me a placement as a volunteer student counsellor while I was working towards my Diploma. I love working there as the staff are warm and welcoming and offer a compassionate, supportive space for all carers. The level of services provided by Renfrewshire Carers is second to none and they offer a lifeline to people who otherwise might feel they have been forgotten.” – Lindsey
