Getting a Break
Our home-based Respite Service is free to Carers with little or no services and will be provided until a Self-Directed Budget (SDS) is in place.
Our dedicated workers are trained in Moving and Assisting, Emergency First Aid, Food Hygiene and any other appropriate training. All our workers are members of the PVG scheme (protecting vulnerable groups).
What does our respite service provide?
Carers the opportunity to have a break from their caring role
A person centered approach, which aims to meet the needs of every Carer
Help to improve the quality of life for Carers and their loved ones
The opportunity for Carers to have a life outside of their caring role.
Our Respite Service provides much needed assistance for Carers who have little time for themselves. Our service offers support to adults with varying illnesses and disabilities. Normally a Carer will be offered between 2 and 4 hours of respite a week.
