Renfrewshire Carers Training Project is running a Makaton level 1 course that will be facilitated by Siobhan Gaughan.

This course is recommended for parents, family members and carers who need a more detailed knowledge about using and applying Makaton to develop better communication skills in their everyday caring role.

Level 1 training is made up of two modules over a minimum of seven hours and will be delivered in two sessions over 2 weeks.

When you attend the workshop, you will receive a participant’s Manual, which includes the Makaton symbols and signs that you learn in the workshop.

Places for this course are limited therefore they will be offered to individuals who are caring for someone with communication difficulties. However please feel free to contact me to discuss your situation in confidence if you are unsure on whether to register or not.
