Keep an eye on our social media on Monday to watch Provost Lorraine Cameron launch Carers Week 2023.
Wellbeing with essential oils: 10.00am–11.30am and 12.30pm-14.00pm
Come and learn about essential oils and how they can support and enhance your wellbeing with Amanda from The Butterfly Room. Discovering and exploring oils based on scents and reactions rather than names, you will pick your favourites and then use your preferred oils to scent your own mini sized scented product which you will take away with you.
All Carers attending these sessions will receive a voucher for 2 sessions of your choice at the Butterfly Room.
Tuesday 6 June
Male Carers Open Day: 12.30pm-14.30pm
Calling all Male Carers! We are delighted that David McKenna from Kickin’ On will be at our Male Carers Support Group. Kickin’ On is a community based mental health support. Launched in 2020, they now provide a weekly programme of activities that include: talking groups, boot camps, football sessions, music sessions and more.
Breakfast will be provided.
Wednesday 7 June
Yoga: 10.00am–11.00am
Tai Chi: 11.30am – 12.30pm
Join us for one or both sessions in the Carers Centre or online at home. Fruit platters and smoothies provided. All Carers attending will receive a voucher for a further 4 sessions of Yoga or Tai Chi.

Come and meet the staff who will provide information on the services we offer and other support services within our area.
Wellbeing Session – De-stress using simple mindfulness skills
19.00pm-20.00pm on Zoom
Looking to feel better, improve your wellbeing, de-stress and give yourself a boost? Join this session to learn and try out different, simple techniques in a safe and supporting setting.

Caring for Carers Afternoon Tea
Second Thursday of each month 12.30pm-14.30pm
Are you a Carer who does not attend one of our support groups? If so, you are welcome to join our Caring for Carers Support Group for Afternoon Tea. If you are unable to attend in person, please join us on Zoom and we will deliver the Afternoon Tea for you to enjoy at home.
Friday 9 June
Carers Week Social Evening
19.00pm-21.30pm
We’re ending Carers Week on a high note. All Carers are welcome to come along to our social evening and enjoy some live music, dancing, good food and mocktails. As always, it’s on us so you don’t need to worry about anything other than having a good time.
