On Friday 29th March, Provost Cameron joined the Carers Centre staff, Board members, fellow elected members, local charities and businesses to launch our rebranding efforts. We hope our new branding will encourage people to engage with the Carers Centre and signpost friends and family members who may be carers.
On the day, we revealed our new logo, marketing materials, Website and short DVD showing the work the Centre does for carers and how this has benefited carers. You can see the DVD by visiting our Facebook page or on watch it on Youtube.
Diane Goodman, Centre Manager at Renfrewshire Carers Centre, said:
“We are delighted to be marking our Centre rebranding joined by elected members, local partners, professionals and charities’. We are particularly grateful to Provost Cameron for her continued support of the Carers Centre and for launching our new Website.
“Far too often to we find that people caring for a loved one don’t know what support is available to them.
“We have invested in our new marketing in order to help raise awareness of the work we do within the Carers Centre. Carers that use our services feel that we have made an incredible difference in their lives and we would like to ensure that all carers are offered the same opportunity.
“To help us spread the word of the work we do we would love the public to engage with us on social media and keep us in mind if they know anyone who may be a carer. We are also hoping that everyone who joined us today can continue to encourage people they meet or are working with to find out more about our charity.”
Margaret Nilsson, Carers and Board Member, said:
“I know first-hand how life changing the support from Renfrewshire Carers Centre can be for families and I want all carers to experience this. The Board felt it was so important that we have an identity so people can recognise our logo and want to support our charity or know where to turn to for help.
“I hope that by boosting the Carers Centre’s profile it will encourage new carers to come forward and engage with the Centre. The Centre’s social media is also a great way to stay up to date with all the groups and events that are going on.
Provost Cameron, said:
“It was an honour to be asked to unveil the new logo and film as part of the Carers Centre re-branding. The Carers Centre provides a lifeline to a lot of families in Renfrewshire who are dealing with illness, poverty or in crisis situations. It is a place for people to go and get help without judgement and we could not do without it – or the staff and volunteers who make everything happen.
“I love the eye catching logo and encourage everyone to go the their website and watch the new film they have made about the work of the Carers Centre, and listen to the testimonies of people it has helped.”
